Sunset at 4:58 p.m. on the Winter Solstice 12-21-21 - the shortest day of the year.
Sunset four weeks after the Winter Solstice - 5:25 p.m. Already the days are noticeably longer. How I welcome the return of light.
To Know The Dark (By Wendell Berry)

To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.
