It's not just the flag that makes this a favorite photo, it is also my youngest, Preston, busy helping with the yard work.
It is the happy memories this photo invokes.
We'll celebrate the 4th with Preston and his family today. It will also be the celebration of the birthdays of his two grandsons, Ayden and Greyson.
I wish you a happy, safe, fun day with a thought or two about why we celebrate on this day and with sincere hope that our country can once again survive a great divide.
